The Gourmet & Wine Lovers application offers a streamlined introduction to Istria's culinary excellence, aimed at a diverse audience including journalists, opinion leaders, enogastronomic experts, and prospective visitors. It functions as a comprehensive platform showcasing curated content such as top restaurants and taverns within the region, distinguished wine and olive oil producers, olive growers, wine bars, truffle hunters, cheesemakers, ham producers, honey producers, leading regional hotels, and other noteworthy events.

To facilitate exploration, Istria has been subdivided into six smaller zones or clusters, each linked by one or multiple itineraries that highlight the most significant Gourmet & Wine destinations within each area. These routes are named according to their micro-region and gastronomic theme—for example, the Novigrad Oyster Route, Four Soils for Four Experiences, Momjan Musketeers' Muscat, Veli Jože and Teran, Rovinj Blue, Divine Tastes of South Istria, among others. The initiative aims to serve as a promotional tool for Istria and its microdestinations, supporting the development of specialized packages for tour operators and agencies as ready-to-use products.

Restaurants are also included through a dedicated section on wine lists, featuring wines produced by wineries listed in the application. This enables easier presentation of specific wines or wine producers to visiting guests, enhancing customer experience. An innovative feature of the application is its direct link to the Istria Tourist Board website, providing users with automated access to an up-to-date calendar of gastronomic events—ensuring that visitors remain informed about regional and gastronomic happenings at any time.
